Newsletter News: Orson Welles ‘acclaimed “Citizen Kane,” which had long topped the film critics’ rankings with a score of 100, fell by a few notches.
According to Indywire, Orson Welles’s “Citizen Kane” was made in 1941 and, although it did not sell well at the box office, contrary to expectations, it was ranked first in the poll by film critics and experts on the Rotten Tomatoes website each year. The film has a history of cinema.
In the latest poll on the website, although Orson Welles is still widely regarded as the biggest movie, it no longer has a 100% rating on the website.
The film’s full score was broken last month after Rotten Tomatoes added a negative twist to the Chicago Tribune, released 80 years ago in 1941. The Chicago Tribune called “Citizen Kane” a “flip” and the writing of this movie causes a kind of creep!
